+ Sharps 1863 Conversion [Antq] - (Sn C214xx) - 50/70 with a 22" barrel. Shows about 98% original blue on the barrel, with about 95%+ bright blue case colors on the action and lever. Barrel band & butt plate show somewhat more subdued. Bright fire blue on all screws, except for the hammer screw, which is gray. Takedown lever shows 99%. Saddle ring & bar are mainly silver. Front & rear sights are complete & correct. Wood shows strong throughout, grain still shows raised with good D. F. C. cartouche and other crisp inspector's marks. Butt plate is notched for a patch box. Good bore, screws, & mechanically sound. $6,500
+ Sharps Conversion [Antq] - (Sn C437xx) - 40/70 with a 2.5" - 30" octagon barrel. Marked "Old Reliable", Sharps Rifle Co. Bridgeport, Conn. Metal was cleaned to bright at one time, but has begun to tone back to gray. Wood has had a light coat of linseed oil applied. Minor loss at schnabel, with a hairline crack about 1" long & 1/2" hairline crack extending from front of action forward into the left rear of forearm. Has a minor chip at the rear top, left corner of action & wrist. Comes with dies & brass. Good bore, screws, & mechanically sound. $5,295
+ U. S. Sharps Model 1865 Conversion [Antq] - (Sn C464xx) - .50/70 caliber with a 22" bbl. Shows smooth, brown patina with some gray & silver on metal surfaces. Retains original sights & saddle ring. The lower front of action has cracked through the hold for the takedown pin & broken off. Otherwise, the action is mechanically sound. Wood shows normal handling marks & one hairline crack coming off the right rear of the tang, extending about 1" to the rear. Good bore & screws. $1,975
+ U. S. Springfield Trapdoor 1884 SRC [Antq] - (Sn 3440xx) - 45/70 with a 22" bbl. Shows mainly brown, gray, & silver. Has had a Buffington rear sight added. Stock is dated 1882 - circled P is still visible. Good bore, screws, & mechanically sound. Has a 1873 breech block. $1,495
+ U. S. Springfield 1884 Carbine [Antq] - (Sn 3791xx) - 45/70 with a 22" bbl. Barrel shows brown & light pitting forward of barrel band on barrel. Smoother toward the rear of barrel. Action & lock show smooth, with blue showing through frosty rust; shows about the same. Lock shows smooth & mottled gray & plum. Guard & trigger plate show plum, with scattered pitting. Butt plate shows some blue. Saddle ring & bar are intact & show like the rest of the gun. Cleaning rod is missing, from butt trap. Rear sight has been replaced with earlier rifle sight. Stock shows normal usage marks; cartouches are obliterated, but the "P" is still visible behind the tang. Bore is bad. Action is sound & screws are good. This is a good-looking old gun. $1,495

+ G. L. Jones Left-Handed Full Stock Percussion [Antq] - .50 caliber with a 42" bbl. It is made to look like a conversion of an earlier flint lock-to-percussion. It has a sliding lid patch box with light incise carving on a fancy maple stock. Fowler-style brass furniture. Nicely engraved trigger guard bow & side plate. It has a single trigger. + U. S. 1868 Trapdoor [Antq] - (Sn 444xx) - .50 caliber with 32.5" bbl. Metal shows silver & gray as cleaned. Retains correct sights & cleaning rod. 1863-dated lock is sound; 1870-dated breechblock is sound. Tang bolt slot is wallowed out; rear lock bolt is a replacement with slot damage. Trigger plate has an empty spare hole between guard & rear screw. All other screws are good. Stock is cracked through wrist from under tail of lock panel, angling up to front of comb - has been glued up, but should be redone by a good wood person. Bore is good. $725
+ U. S. Colt SAA [Antq] - (Sn 964xx) - .45 Colt with a 5.5" bbl. This Artillery Model shows about 80-85% original blue on the barrel & about 50-60% blue on the ejector housing. Cylinder retains about 90% original blue. Back & front straps are gray, top of back strap has some bright blue intact, as does the flats on the guard & the flats on either side of upper strap. Has some bright blue on & around the front of the guard. The frame is mainly gray & brown, with traces of case color - hammer shows about the same. Retains all correct D.F.C. & R.A.C. marks on metal & grips. Grips have a few dents & dings with an initial scratched on the left bottom panel. Good bore, screws, & mechanically sound. Shows about 95-97% original blue, with most of the wear showing on thinned back strap. Shows about 95-97% case color on hammer, and about 40% on guard. Casehardened rear sight blade has been bent backward a few degrees. Muzzle shows as having been cleaned up. It appears the muzzle crown was damaged at some point, and the muzzle was re-polished. Brass bead at back of front sight blade is missing. Overall, a great example of this model. Awaiting factory letter. $5,250

Hawken-type iron nose cap & entry pipe; double-keyed walnut forearm; crescent butt plate on walnut butt stock with beaver tail cheek piece; single set trigger; long bar adjustable rear sight; German silver front sight. Wiping rod was missing when I got the rifle, so we copied one of the original rods from one of my other Gemmers for a replacement. These are extremely rare rifles. There is, to my knowledge, only about 12-15 of these rifles still in existence. This one would rank in the top five, as far as configuration & condition go. Good bore, screws, & mechanically sound. This 1900 production rifle shows about 80% original thinning barrel blue, with light scattered surface rust. The receiver shows mainly gray & brown, as do the lever & butt plate. Forearm shows only traces of varnish. Butt stock retains about 60% original sheen on varnish, with scattered handling marks & scratches with a crack at the toe about 3/4" long. Front receiver screw is ragged, but others are good. Good bore & mechanically sound. Rear sight has a period replaced Winchester rear sight & elevator, which has been on the rifle forever. The lever is thinning to about 90% inside loop - 95% outside. It has had 2 holes drilled at the rear of the barrel, right side to mount scope. Overall, the wood shows about 93-95%, with a 1.5" long x .25" wide gouge on the left wrist at the pistol grip. It has the original front sight with marble, short leaf, semi-buckhorn rear sight. The floor plate guard, bolt shroud, & safety are nicely engraved. The stock is very similar to G. & H. or some of the other Eastern gun houses. It is nicely checkered with a shadow line cheek piece, horn fore end tip, pistol grip cap, & Neidner checkered butt plate. The stock is oil finished & has Jaeger swivels with a nice, 1.25" sling. The barrel has a band & ramp front sight by Redfield. It has 2 filler screws where a rear sight once was. There is a Lyman receiver sight affixed with a plug installed. There is a Lyman Alaskan All-Weather scope, with Redfield base & rings + a set of leather scope caps. + L. C. Smith Long Range Field Grade - (Sn R115xxx) - 12 ga. with a 3" chamber and 32" barrels - Full & Full. Shows most metal cleaned to gray, with faint case colors on action body. The wood shows some flattened checkering, but no cracks, chips, or gouges. The varnish is dirty & crinkled on the left side of the butt. The barrels show a couple of exterior dings, but nothing showing in the bores. The bores are not perfect, but will clean up nicely. The action is quite sound & crisp to operate. The screws are fine. L.O.P. is 14" over an L. C. Smith butt plate - not original to this gun. Overall, this is a great, old gun to use as is, or have restored properly.
